I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (K-8) from Marshall University in 1993 and received my Master's Degree in Communication Studies in 1994 from West Virginia University. I taught 19 years as a fifth-grade math and science teacher, and am currently a Digital Teaching and Learning Specialist with Edgecombe County Public Schools.
