I am truly excited about presenting "Multicultural Literature for Children" at our district's #TeachHarnett Conference. It is my belief that our children should see themselves in the literature we share with them and I feel very fortunate to have this opportunity to share what I have learned over the years about Multicultural Literature.  A bit about me, this year is my sixth year as the South Harnett Library Media Coordinator and my 27th year in education.  I have taught 2nd, 3rd & 5th grades in Harnett and Cumberland Counties.  I have a passion for teaching and a commitment to improving the lives of children while preparing them for the 21st century.  My additional duty at South Harnett includes being the lead coach for the Battle of the Books Team.  At this session, there will be some giveaways and lots of information shared that I hope will help you grow professionally!
