Lydia Richmond
West Rowan High School Assistant Principal
Lydia Richmond is an Assistant Principal at West Rowan High School, but for the twenty previous years taught English both in-person and online at the high school and college levels. For eleven of those years, Lydia taught, developed, and led for the North Carolina Virtual Public School.
Her thirst for life-long learning often sends Lydia back into the role of student, and she has received not only her Master's in English Education but also her add-on certificates in School Administration and Instructional Technology. Lydia has been a mentor and facilitator for new teachers, has worked in freelance professional development and instructional design, and is a social media and pop culture enthusiast.
Lydia’s passion for relevance in the classroom guides her work with teachers as they build meaningful content for their students.
Lydia is married to Aaron, and they have four children, two cats, two dogs and a lot of fun.
