Ms. Kristin Blake currently serves as the principal of Surry Online Magnet School. Ms. Blake obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and History from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2002. She received a Master of School Administration and completed a certificate in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Carolina Pembroke in 2006. Ms. Blake began her career as a kindergarten teacher in Montgomery County. In 2006, Ms. Blake transitioned into administration as an assistant principal in Moore County. Ms. Blake served as an assistant principal in various schools, including elementary, middle, and middle/high school alternative schools over the next seven years. Ms. Blake came to Surry County Schools in 2013 as the assistant principal at Dobson Elementary and then at Franklin Elementary School. Prior to serving as the principal of the Surry Online Magnet School, she served as the principal at Shoals Elementary.
