Katie Yunker is an academic coach in Durham, North Carolina currently working with teachers at the elementary level. She holds a Master’s in Science Education from UNC Chapel Hill and a Master’s in Academically and Intellectually Gifted Education from Duke University. In addition to more than a decade of teaching experience, in both North Carolina and Thailand, Ms. Yunker worked as an Educational Research Consultant for NC State University. She is a Modern Classroom Distinguished Educator and North Carolina Educator of Excellence. Ms. Yunker has led professional development at both the district and state level around best practices in gifted education, cultivating growth mindset, and technology integration.
