As K-12 collectively accelerates down the path towards digital transformation, a key undertaking is the improvement of the learning experience at scale, while strengthening district cybersecurity. However, that’s no small feat, especially as education remains the #1 most targeted industry for ransomware attacks. In addition, while districts leverage multiple classroom systems and tools, districts must provide students and educators with a seamless, secure digital learning experience that doesn't get in the way of learning outcomes.

So, how can district leaders set up their districts for success with a strong cybersecurity posture that doesn’t compromise the student experience?

Attendees will learn best practices from an interactive panel of cybersecurity experts and district leaders to achieve frictionless digital learning and embrace the new cybersecurity challenges of 2022 head-on. Attendees will discover how to strengthen their security posture by implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA) and other security measures across their digital ecosystem, how to react when faced with a cybersecurity challenge such as a ransomware attack, how to train students and staff on password hygiene, and more.

To start, the emcee will spend the first 5 minutes introducing the panelists. Next, she will engage the audience with a poll to understand their roles, the key cybersecurity challenges they are facing, and how they tread the fine line between providing seamless access while maintaining a strong security posture. This poll will lead the panel of experts into 20 minutes of panel discussion based on the most popular selections. In the last 20 minutes of the session, the audience will have the opportunity to address specific challenges by asking the panel of experts open-mic questions.
