English language learners (ELLs) benefit from leveraging technology to express themselves. Dr. José A. Viana, former Assistant Deputy Secretary of the Office of English Language Acquisition (OELA) at the US Department of Education, will demonstrate how technology helps ELLs find their voice and enable the transition to a new language. If you are looking for a way to add motivation to your lessons and connect with your multilingual learners, digital resources are the key. Technology can address differentiated instruction effectively and support your emergent bilingual students acquire a second language confidently. This session will provide strategies for educators to fully and creatively use technology to offer ELLs opportunities for social and academic interactions.
