- Diversity Since students play the largest role in personalized learning in deciding what/how they need to learn about content (based on their own data, of course), each student (adult learners in this case) will be able to take into account their own background knowledge and their specific needs to reach their intended goal. The entire session focuses on EACH student getting what THEY need in order to succeed! The personalized learning strategies modeled in the session can be adapted to span the needs of all types of learners, environments with seemingly inequitable resources, and incorporate the principles of universal design for learning.
