(Yes, you read that correctly!) The benefit of Gamification is three-fold in that it improves the cognitive, motivational, and behavioral learning outcomes of students. So, why not explore how it synergizes with Project-Based Learning (PBL)?

You’ve heard about putting students in hypothetical situations where they must solve problems, right? Well, that’s exactly what gamification does…in a PBL classroom. Gamification and PBL are synonymous in that they immerse students in imaginary scenarios that get more challenging over time and conclude with an end goal--or objective--no cheat codes or extra lives needed.

Race each other across a virtual leaderboard for a chance to earn some serious street cred and other cool prizes that are POSITIVELY NOT tote bags. And, even though there are no objects to collect, bricks to break, or princesses to save at this session, you will still leave ready to teach even the most EPIC BOSS of disengaged students. Bring a charged device and warm up your gaming knuckles because in 3...2...1, it's GAME TIME!
