Pixton cures classroom boredom and empowers every student by unleashing artistic and writing potential. It's easy to use for basic projects but also includes advanced features for those looking for more. After sharing experiences from students and teachers, participants will have a chance to create their own avatars and begin a comic strip in a workshop environment. Participants will gain the knowledge to go back and start Pixton with their students right away!     Here is the link to presentation!

  • Diversity Representing diversity, students can make avatars that actually look like them, and then use the avatars in their projects to form deeper connections to the content. When making avatars, students have many options in choosing specific skin tones, clothing, and styles that match their cultures. One of the most remarkable features is the fact that teachers and students can put their avatar in a wheelchair or have hearing aids. Pixton has content packs representing current topics. The essence of Pixton is about respect, inclusion & embracing the differences in human nature.
