Come learn how Broadview Middle School modernized their behavior management (SEL, MTSS, PBIS) by using Classcraft, a behavior management platform focused on motivating students. You will leave this session with a better understanding of how they came to adopt this innovative, game-based approach, how it helped them during the pandemic to get students more invested in exhibiting positive behavior, completing assignments, and advocating for one another, and how they’re able to use Classcraft’s unique behavior data to better understand the correlation between different trends in their school.

  • Diversity It is well documented that boys, African American students and students with disabilities are disproportionately suspended, referred and expelled. In this session, we’ll discuss the use of early-indicator positive behavioral data to identify at-risk students and hold stakeholders accountable for disproportionality in behavior intervention to minority groups. We’ll also address concepts of self-determination as an affordance to develop empowerment for all students, while developing intrinsic motivation.
