Engaging Teen Readers: Strategies to Get Teens to Check Out the School Library

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
School library media coordinators at the middle and high school levels are finding it more and more challenging to get teens interested in books and reading. In this session, we will offer some suggestions to get teens actively engaged in school library activities with the ultimate goal of leaving with a book and a renewed interest in reading for pleasure. We will provide participants the opportunity to explore and share programming ideas and resources used to engage teen readers. We will also provide suggestions for digital tools that we consistently use to promote and brand our libraries and curate materials (Smore, Canva, Wakelet, Instagram, TikTok).
