It's fairly easy to understand the basic concepts behind personalized learning. What's difficult is figuring out how to get there. This session will detail how Gaston County Schools created a cohort of "Personalized Learning Trailblazers" to implement personalized learning. Supported by technology facilitators and funded by a North Carolina Digital Learning Initiative grant, these teachers got advanced training, equipment, and software packages to help them become experts and then teacher leaders. The session will cover what worked, what didn't, and how the district plans to continue the program after grant support ends.
